This special session will present the results of the FALCON project (Horizon Europe) involving Airbus (Spain, Germany, UK and France), 2 Universities (Marseille and Karlsruhe), 2 research centers (DLR, IT4I) and 3 industrials (MSC Nastran, CS group and Euronovia). The overall objective of the FALCON project is to develop a hybrid approach combining both cutting-edge numerical and experimental methods to analyse Fluid-Structure Interaction (FSI), better predict and control the aircraft aerodynamic unsteady loads, thus improving the aeroelastic properties and sustainability of aerostructures and reducing the related aerodynamical noise.

The project started in January 2024 and the session will present an overview of main achievements of the work packages, and promote discussions and interactions with industrial and academic partners on the topic of fluid-structure interactions in aeronautics.
