IAM (Innovative Air Mobility) sector achieved technology maturity necessary for safe, secure and effective deployment. It is expected that soon implementation of full regulatory framework will contribute to successful uptake of IAM services in Europe. Nevertheless, the challenges related to building of competitive, cost-efficient and sustainable and scalable IAM operations in tightly regulated sector will remain significant for IAM. A promising solution can be found in another, parallel to the “UAM revolution” - smart-city trend. IT/ICT and AI driven technologies are transforming our approach to managing key resources and urban infrastructure. The integration of IAM with smart-city initiatives can enhance urban mobility and sustainability. What is potential of those two trends if synergized? What will be the smart-IAM, and how will be the impact on potential application areas, promising use cases and on how smart-IAM can contribute to sustainability of urban transportation and urban ecosystems?
